What’s going on guys, Austin Zaback here, and in today’s video we are going to talk about my personal investing strategy and plan to make $5 million in 2021. While this is an ambitious goal, my team and I were actually very close to reaching this goal last year even with the pandemic halting our progress.
To start, I am a real estate agent and real estate investor, and I’ve been doing this for about 7 years now. While I am still young, I do believe that I have gained the knowledge and experience, as well as assembled the team that I believe will make this goal attainable. That is probably the biggest tip I can give you, it’s that no matter who you are, you don’t know what you don’t know. So you need to spend time learning and failing so that you can acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to reach your goals. You also need to form the right team to be able to keep up with your ambition. It’s not about finding the ‘best’ people for your team, instead you need to find the ‘right’ people, and there is a very big difference between the two.
So first, my wholesaling company. I have a very strong wholesaling team, and a goal I have is that we are going to be closing 30-50 wholesale deals a month. Like I said, last year we nearly accomplished this goal, now we just need to back on the tracks and grind for it.
Out of those 30-50 wholesale deals, we are likely to find at least 2 deals that are good enough for us to consider holding on to them. We will likely see potential in those deals, and either fix and flip them for an even larger profit, or we will fix them and keep em as rental properties, which long term will be an even larger profit. This is also a very attainable goal, as we have done this successfully in the last few months as last year. Another thing we will be on the look out for and have already had success doing, is that rarely, some of these deals will be in good areas and be nicer properties that we will fix and begin renting to Air BnB. Our goal is to acquire around 5 Air BnB properties by the end of the year, and we’ve just recently acquired our first ever Air BnB property in 2020.
Lastly, like I mentioned earlier, I am a real estate agent and I am in process of creating a team of agents for a traditional real estate team. Again, its about finding the right agents for my team, not necessarily the best ones, and that will also bring in steady profit continuously. My goal with this team is sell over $100 million in real estate this year, and again I think this is an achievable goal. If you are someone who is just starting out and wants to get to the level that I am at, just know that it didn’t happen over night. I failed plenty of times before I got to where I’m at, so I advice to you is to simply start now. You’ll ultimately need to fail just like I did, and you’ll learn more and more about what it takes to reach goals as ambitious as this.
