I would love to know if you have done the Help To Buy Equity loan, or a similar scheme – I can’t see what is wrong with it and why we shouldn’t do it but I would really appreciate your advice with it as it’s all so new to us.
I didn’t expect to be looking at new build properties but as we got refused the first mortgage we needed to buy a pre-owned home it seems like getting a help to buy equity loan is a great way of us getting on the property ladder.
We are looking at a new build from Linden Homes and they have some great incentives such as paying the stamp duty, paying legal fees and giving us a very generous John Lewis voucher towards furnishing the house.
